Places to eat outdoors aside from Atlantis

Hello we will be there the week of New Years and I would like a casual place to eat outside of the pricey Atlantis restaurants. Also, if we take a taxi into town to say the hard rock café, are there other restaurants/things to see/do in that area? And how much will a taxi be? We'll be a group of 10. Thank you.

Anthony's at Paradise Village has some outdoor seating. It is nice in the evening. Casual and a good varied menu. Everything from Burgers and salads to crab cakes and lobster ravioli! It is also a very short walk from Atlantis. The Green Parrot at Hurricane Hole is also a short walk and is super casual. More like a watering hole that serves food. Mainly appetizers, burgers and sandwiches. Viola's is another option within walking distance. It is located at Sunrise Suites. They have live music on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Lots of locals here. Decent food at reasonable prices. A taxi to downtown should cost around $11. Not sure about that large of a group, though. There are plenty of restaraunts off of Paradise Island.

A taxi for two to Nassau cost $11 plus $3 for each additional person and a tip. There is also a $1 bridge toll on your return to Paradise Island.

Green Parrot is walkable--assuming they are still there--all there is is outside seating==they were last January==it is under the second bridge==not fancy but good food.

thanks! that sounds like a good day trip. I'll also check the Green Parrot. Suitable for kids? I have seen some of these places like Senor Frogs that seem to be more bar/drinking establishments. Thank you all and happy holidays!

Ive eaten at the Courtyard Terrace at Ocean Club a few times. Its very

old world dining around the reflecting pool, with the stars above.

Dunes also has outside tables which overlook the beach

I do find it odd Atlantis has not embraced outdoor dining like you find

in Hawaiian resorts

@Txt2France - re my post (#5) - that's going to be more than a day trip - or else a lonngggg day trip :)

Another great place to eat outside, speaking of day trips & eating outdoors - I'd go have a BBQ lunch at Rose Island with Barefoot Sailing Cruises, Flying Cloud or Sandy toes! With 10 of you - email them directly and ask for a group discount. And, after the lunch - explore a quiet beach or go snorkeling!
