Atlantis casino

Has anyone spent any time lately in the casino.? Just wondered if an unsually high amount of machines are still not working. Year after year it' seems the same machines are down. I wrote a letter to the hotel complaining and I thought I would see if that still seem to be the case.

Thanks P.

Yes, phunzie...it's no different than in the past. Interesting thing I noticed this year (was at Harborside 7/23 to 7/30)...Seems that I had noticed, early in our week, that certain machines had "hit" a good payout. And wouldn't ya know it...those machines were "out of order" all week. There are still some that will pay out in coin, (saw 1 coin bucket all week well hidden between 2 machines); most machines pay out in tickets, but many machines will not take tickets or bills (old and new). They truly don't care how inconvienced you are; there is no competition unless you want to jump in a cab and go to Cable Beach. On that note...Good Luck to All!

Have to admit, I spent more than my fair share of time in the casino (last week of June and 1st of July) playing slots. I didn't notice an unusual amount of machines out of order. There is still one row that pays out in coins - I hate that and avoided it. It might be my imagination, but I thought the payouts were fewer and far between this trip. Still good enough that I had fun tho. Have fun P. Julie

Thanks for your imput. I put this out because I really have noticed it on each of my visits. I suppose it could be the time of year I go (fall) but I am surprised they don't don't run a tighter ship. Casinos usually go out of their way to make you want to stay longer in the casinos. I learnt a few years back complaining just made them defensive. I just wonder if the casino has strict guidelines from the

government about bringing new machines into the country.

Reality is I can go to Vegas if I want the ultimate gambling environment and should just think of it as something to do after dinner!

We just returned from 5 nights in Paradise Island and five nights at the Atlantis Casino. There were many slots not working, with apparently no effort to repair them. Coming from New Jersey, where we can go to Atlantic City or Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, it seemed that the Casino was not well run. I don't play the slots but daughter wanted to and it was very frustrating to find so many machines not functioning. You would think that the management there would be up on this as this is such a highly regarded resort/casino.

The excuse I was given about the slots being in such poor shape was that "people like the older machines, so some of them don't get replaced". i don't buy this one...there's got to be a different excuse...
