Snorkeling Question

I am interested in snorkeling when I visit Freeport next week for a day. I am not interested in booking an excursion through the cruise line. Are there any places that will take you out to snorkel by boat.

Went to Paradise Cove and loved it. Awesome snorkeling area. Saw a string ray and was paced by a 4 foot barracuda. Picked up about half dozen empty sea biscuits in the water. Saw the largest blue tang, I have ever seen. The best snorkeling is beyond the grotto. Its about 200 -300 yards off shore and there is a current, so you must use flippers. I had my own gear, so not sure what the charge would have been. I paid $35 as I reserved online. Suggestion: You can catch a taxi on your own for $15 RT per person and snorkel for $15 PP. So it is actually cheaper and more convenient to do it on your own then to reserve through the paradise cove web site. They charge $35 for transportation and snorkeling. Pick up is 9:30AM and return is 12:30, 2:30 or 4:30. You can arrange a taxi anytime for the return trip.
