scuba diving

We would like to do some diving in June. Any suggestions on the best diving in the Bahamas? Are the dives off Andros on the deep side? (over 80 feet is deep for us.)

I've been to Bimini...and its GREAT! Super clear water, easy to get to compared to other out islands, and its not all crowded like other big bahamas islands. Check out www.biminiundersea.com. Call the reservations office and they'll do everything for you. Very affordable, yet a great fun island (fun nightlife plus great diving and great beaches)

For diving in Central Andros check out www.smallhope.com or www.kamalame.com

Andros offers some extremely good diving as well as snorkelling.

There are a number of great dive sites off South Andros to explore without going below 80 feet. There are some spectacular reefs between 15 and 70 feet. My husband and I had the dive boat and instructor to ourselves. It was a wonderful experience. Check out www.androsdiving.com.

We just returned from Small Hope Bay. the diving was great. the morining run is two dives: the first deep and the second shallow (40 ft or so). the afternoon dive is a deep dive. However, there are many diver sites to choose from (reef dives, even a shark dive) and the dive staff will work with the guests to adapt the program to meet guest's requests.
