Bridge inn Cat Island and mosquitoes

I read in my guidebook that the Bridge Inn is bordered by a mangrove estuary. Does this mean that it's likely to be "buggy", since it's away from the beach and the breeze? Also, how inconvenient was it to get to the beach?

All of Cat Island is buggy. We stay near the mangroves and its no worse than anywhere else. Just be prepared! The beach near Bridge Inn in FABULOUS, one of the nicest on the island.
