Thank you all in advance for your time and assistance.
I'll be travelling to Eleuthera with my wife and two other couples in late March. We have been doing a TON of research/reading on this upcoming trip in part because we have three children under 5 and don't get out much. When we do, we need to make the most of it :)
As far as the fishing goes, I'm not too keen on the idea of bonefishing (want to eat what we catch) but would love to do some reef or spear fishing. Who have you had a good experience with and how early should we book? I noticed when we were booking our place to stay, a lot of our first picks were already taken. I'd hate to have the same experience with a fishing guide.
Secondly, I've heard horror stories about the cost/selection of alcohol on the island. How much liqour can we "import" in our bags and any suggestions on technique?
Lastly, my wife and are big time snorkelers (even though I am strangely scared to death of sharks). I'd like to catch some lobster or conch while out and about snorkeling. I've never done this and would like some tips from some of you who have on where to go and techniques.
Thanks again for the help. We're looking forward to experiencing the island life. Cheers!
