Feeling safe in Eleuthera?

Be sure and lock your doors when you leave the house. We were told by the housekeeper as well as the caretaker that some robberies occurred recently. It was people who came into unlocked houses and took MONEY, but not anything else. Supposedly some were caught, but don't let your guard down, and carry your cash with you, even down to the beach.

Just exercise the same caution you would anywhere. If you leave your laptop, camera, money or other valuables in site with unlocked door and you leave the house or car, it could be tempting to the best of anyone...regardless of which country.
