Is anyone there

The weather says 20% change of rain everyday, is that just the passing caribean shower?

Thanks

www.weather.com Tends to say

it's a good chance of showers every

day in the Bahamas. That's why I

prefer www.accuweahter.com

that is more accurate.

In general, from a climate standpoint,

the rainy season in the Bahamas

runs from around May 22 thru the end

of October. The humidity is very high

during this time. With all that humidity

there is a good chance of a daily

downpour lasting from minutes to

hours. In addition, tropical storms

during the hurricane season from

June thru November bring more rain.

Average rainfall in the Bahamas in

October is over 8 inches, second only

to June. It is a very rainy month to quote

words from my regular taxi driver.

Since you are visiting in November,

aside from a passing low pressure

system or cold front, it should be dry

there in November. Average rainfall in

Nov. is only about 2 inches. I was on

Paradise Island all last week. With

the passage of a cold front on

Wed/Thurs there were passing

showers off and on but no major

downpours. The rest of the week

was dry with low humidity.
