Sandals Emerald Bay or Royal Bahamian?

I am in the process of comparing Sandals Emerald Bay and Sandals Royal Bahamian for a possible 4 night trip in February. Is there a difference in temperature or water temp between Nassau and Great Exuma at this time of year? Any other differences worth noting? At the moment, the inconvenience of a connecting flight to get to Great Exuma (seeing as this is a short trip) is making me lean toward the Royal Bahamian.

Many thanks!

How far are you from Toronto? There is a direct flight from there to Great Exuma. I've been to both properties, so it really depends on what you're looking for. Great Exuma is breathtaking, I fell in love with it there.

We would be flying out of Toronto. Which airline flies direct to Great Exuma? We are looking for a relaxing few days, good food, lovely surroundings, nice beach.

Air Canada has a direct flight (Tango) direct to Great Exuma. Sundays only.

We are going to SEB next Dec and I am hoping we get a seat sale

We have been to both properties and I guess it depends on what you like. RB is busier and the atmosphere is livelier, it is also very easy to get into town as the bus stops right outside the front entrance. The beach is not that big, but the private island is amazing.

EB has the most spectacular beach, the grounds and the golf course are really beautiful. To us, it did feel rather more laid back and was never crowded. Exuma is a lovely island but is not commercialised, there are very few shops -even in George Town. There is no public transport, but car hire is cheap and the one main road down the centre of island is very easy. If you do hire a car, it is worth it as there are so many lovely beaches to explore - often with no one on them.

Enjoy your holiday, which ever resort you pick.

also have been to both....completely agree with livinessex....if you have a direct flight to SEB, definitely would pick that, especially if only going for 4 days.

Enjoy wherever you go!!

I also agree with other posters. There will still be some construction going on in Feb.at SRB. But not enough to bother you too much. As the beach is small at SRB . The off shore island makes up for that. The beach at SEB is just amazing. Enjoy your trip which ever you choose.
