Nassau transfer time

Hi, I usually fly from London into Nassau, but in November I'll be flying from Newark into Nassau (United), and then onto Georgetown. Looking at flight options, our Newark flight would land at 12:12pm and possible Sky Bahamas flight leaves at 1:30pm. For guys who do fly out of Nassau regularly to GGT, would we make this connecting flight? We're both young & can run if necessary! Or would it be better to just book the Sky evening flight?

(We'll have one checked bag each so will have to wait for that also).

Thanks!

I think its possible..if your flight from newark get in on time...but if you dont want to chance it..book the evening flight and when you get into nassau try to fly standby on the 1:30pm flight.

I doubt you will make the Georgetown flight, as you will still need to wait on luggage. And domestic flights close 45 minutes before departure, so leaving you only 30 minutes to clear Bahamian immigration and customs and make it over to the new domestic terminal. IMHO, you would be cutting it very close indeed.

Getting to the new terminal is easier than before, as it is a 3 minute walk at most from where you exit the arrivals building. So that part is easy.

You could chance it, then ask to be rebooked on the later flight if you miss the original one. With the new terminal, there is now a little more involved getting through security and the flights are being called earlier, as it is a longer walk to be escorted out the planes.

I'd be most worried about getting out of Newark on time. I used to fly Continental a lot before the UA merge, and nearly every flight went through Newark & almost all were delayed.

Agreed, Newark is bad. Always delays.
