Honeymoon suggestions

Hello trip advisors!

We are planning our honeymoon and cannot decide where to go. We want tropical forest, waterfalls, white sand beaches, turquoise water, swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, all inclusive resorts, couples only, nature tours and scenery.

Is there any place that has all of these? We have 2 weeks for our trip so we could do neighboring locations, etc.

We had always thought we would go to Hawaii but have looked at prices and have changed our minds but it's not out of the question.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

You should probably look at somewhere other than the Bahamas for waterfalls and lush tropical landscaping. How about Jamaica?

thank you for your reply!

i failed to mention that we have been to jamaica twice now. it's where we fell in love and later where he asked me to marry him. so even though we love it we want to try something new.

thank you for your suggestion!

Green Turtle Cay is very nice, but might not be your exact fit:

tropical forest - thick island foliage, roads are typically one-lane paths

waterfalls - none

white sand beaches - endless miles, mostly deserted. Reefs easily accessible from the beach

turquoise water - endless

swimming with dolphins - only dolphins here are wild

snorkeling - beautiful all easy enough for a beginner

inclusive resorts - two on Green Turtle - Bluff House and Green Turtle Cay Club

couples only - not available, but not many tourists find this remote island, and even fewer make the trip with young children. Chances are good that you will enjoy meeting the few tourists you meet on the island and that you will really enjoy meeting the natives (island population ~300)

nature tours - spend a day with Brendal Stevens and/or Lincoln Jones

scenery - everywhere you look

Prices - vary by where you stay and what you do

Also consider:

Security/crime - never an issue in this location

Uniqueness - unforgettable experience that few people could quickly find on a map

Adventure - You'll travel by plane, taxi, boat and golf cart and that's just to reach your destination. Once on the island, your free to roam every bit of it, or rent a small boat and travel to explore the adjacent uninhabited islands.

Commercial - not at all. No fast food and no-one trying to sell you a time share

Romantic - As romantic as you make it, for example: rootweddings.com/blog/tag/green-turtle-cay/
