Need advice on ski tour to Dolomites

My wife and I are interested in a group ski tour of the dolomites where we would stay at a different location every night. Do you have any recommendations as to reasonably-priced tour companies? We can leave anytime between now and April... what would be the best time of year for ski conditions and especially weather? Also, we are semi-expert skiers and I'm wondering if a group tour would involve a lot of waiting / slow skiing / unchallenging terrain? We are looking for some adventure, hence the idea of ski touring/ trekking, instead of simply skiing.

What is a semi-expert.

Assume you mean "ski touring" and not a ski tour. A ski tour could be just skiing on piste seeing various historic sights - e.g. the World War 1 ski tour in Alta Badia

or

dolomitemountains.com/en/resources/resources…

or

Have you done ski-touring before - that is proper ski-touring with touringskis, boots, bindings, skins, walking up the mountains on touring skis etc

If doing "skitouring" then you shouldn't have to wait/slow skiers because you should all be good off-piste skiers.

You should be physically fit

Are you expecting to carry all your own luggage in a rucksack stopping over in mountain huts or do you see this as staying in a hotel then joining a skitouring group for a day.

Obviously does depend on snow conditions but many people like skitouring around March.

Good place to start is on the Alpe di Siusi. Accessable from Ortisei/St Ulrich or Siusi/Seis itself. YOu could get a guide as a taster

alpedisiusi.info/en/…ski-touring.html

If wishing to be on some organised trip then there are companies out there.

Not personal recommendations but as examples. The following appears to bbe offering proper "skitouring"

mountaintracks.co.uk/trip/dolomites-circuit-…

HOWEVER NOTE their experience level "Intermediate" relates to an "Intermediate off-piste skier" - put mouse over the "Skill level" and have a read. Also read "Stamina level" as this relates to climbs using "skins".
