Chinatown in Krabi?

Hi everyone

I wonder if you could help me?

We are coming to Krabi for our holiday in June. I heard a friend of mine said that there is a Chinatown market in "old town". They are like hundreds of stalls selling all kinds of souvenirs and products. May I know if this is true and how do I go there?

Or alternatively, can you update me of the day and night markets location and operating hours again? Is there any new markets?

Thank you in advance.

I think your friend is talking about Walking Street, which happens every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Krabi Town. It is an open air market selling hand-made goods, food, drink etc.

Worth a look in my opinion

From the Ao Nang Beach Cliff it's about 10 minutes walk up the road past the mosque, but on the other side of the road.

Klongmuang, what is the Ao Nang Night Market located near? Is walking street the main road that runs parallel to the beach and then turns up towards McDonalds?

I've been to Ao Nang previously, so know the layout and landmarks etc but don't recall seeing a Night Market there.

We are staying at the Mercure again.

Read my entries 2, 4 & 6. The Mercure is at the other end of Ao Nang.
