i had found a lovely holiday to club hotel riu tequila in september this year. i was really excited to book but i have now been told that it may not be a very good idea due to it being hurricane season. does anyone have any views/experiences about mexico's hurricane season??

Hurricane season peaks from the end of August through September, but that doesn't mean you'll encounter one. Try to get a travel insurance, it might help put your mind at ease.

Hi there yes do get the Insurance you can cancell if anything is about to happen down there.We go every Oct and only once in the last 6 years have we had to rebook do to a hurricane.The weather has been beautiful.Have fun!
