Getting to the airport in Tijuana

We will be flying on Volaris airlines in a couple of months. This is our 1st time flying out of Tijuana. We have an 8AM flight. We are looking for a hotel that would provide 4 nights of free or paid with a one night stay and shuttle service to and from the airport

Don't know of anything for free.

The Tijuana Grand Hotel tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g150776-d154822… is really nice, close to the airport and has shuttle service. I believe it is owned by the Mayor. It is around $100 per night.

Lots of other choices in Tijuana - tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g150776-Tijuana_Baja_… - Tripadvisor does allow you to look for hotel by price.

Everyone I know parks at the border, the Otay crossing and walks over when flying from TIJ, parking is in expensive.

Yes look into delta trucking company they are only $7 a day and will drop you off at the boarder. Then they have a cab waiting to take you to the airport. I have use them before and it was easy.

We just flew out of T.J last week for the first time and saving about $800 for our family we will definitely do it again. It is a very easy process and no more of a hassle than parking down at the airport in San Diego at a nearby lot. Actually cheaper-used the delta parking lot. The walk across the border is very easy-we did it with 2 little kids 4 and 6, we were fine. Coming back was easy too.....called at the bank ATM and they were there within minutes. We had a 9:55 am flight, we got to the lot around 7:30-only thing was the lot worker was the only one working so we had to wait for him to go drop off some people then come back so we didn't cross over into Mexico till around 8- check in line was very long so they pulled us up to the front so we could catch our flight. I'd say get to the lot around 5:30/5:45am for your flight.....it's fiunny we got to the P.V. Airport early and they didn't even open till about an hour and a half before ??? Better to be safe than sorry. Coming home, get a taxi at one of the booths inside the baggage claim area while you are waiting-they have booths outside too if you don't have any luggage to pick up- we were in line at the border within 20 minutes of landing and that included waiting in line for our luggage to be checked for correct tickets and x-ray of all off our bags. Totally easy!!!
