Mazcal?

Do we simply swallow the worm or or eat it as a piece of pasta? Different opinions about the isssue in Montreal?,lol. What's the most effective to get the effect of that ugkly bug in our body???I won't touch the "the thing", but I brought a big bottle for my cousin. He was happy to see the "thing dead at the bottom of the bottle".Keep it for you, lol.

The inclusion of the worm is, primarly, a marketing gimmick. Eat it, don't eat it - it's an individual choice, obviously. But, a question back to you: would you eat a cockroach if someone put it in a bottle of liquor?

The story I heard is the worm lives in the Mezcal plant and when you eat it it has hallucinogenic effects.

I wouldn't touch it, just MHO.

REAL mezcal does not have a worm in the bottle. The worm is a touristy gimmick. Some of the best mezcal comes from Tiztla, a little town up by Chilpancingo, and there are no worms to be found.

Hey French, I never ate the worm and unless it's factual that something really strange can happen by eating it, I'll live it right where I found it.

Next time you go to PDLC (Vayma), instead of fantasizing over Parwin, take a lagoon ride to Elagundo's island. He makes his own mezcal up there....Like Moonshine...I'm not really sure he makes it or how authentic it is, but it's pretty darn good and very cheap. We fill water bottles up with it and take it back.

I prefer tequila, but I have eaten the worm. I chewed it. As most of us know, certain alcohols effect us differently. In certain situations I've found tequila and probably mezcal to have hallucinogenic effects. I'm sure that reads a bit strange.

Anyway, I felt good after eating the worm.

Enjoy,

AcaFrenchie, I know your not bad people...Well at least some of you :-) I was actually there less than one week before you guys arrived.

I had a girl I was seeing at home and her birthday was Feb 11 and then Valentines day so I always made my trips end before that time because she was unable to come with me. Next year is looking better for me schedule wise.
