Hi, going to ACA for a week in mid January. Can anyone recommend a hotel stay? Looking for a lively young 20-30s crowd, party atmosphere.. Thanks for your courtesy...

It may be somewhat quiet in mid-January, but the 20-30 crowd seem to like the
Plaza Suites or Copacabana (on the beach) or the Romano Palace (directly across the costera from the strip.

Emporio is much nicer but probably not as much of a 20-30 party atmosphere.
Weekdays will likely be pretty quiet in Aca but the weekends will rock.

Went to Emporio last year. Had a GREAT time!.....but it was a mixed crowd. I didn't go MLK weekend, I went in Feb. Good hotel though.

Thnx nyc-hottie :) Im still unsure...Mexico/ Caribbean beautiful, but I think more couples oriented.... Sobe fun but cold? I guess this is a good problem to have! Have you decided on a location?

South Beach is iffie at best for weather (I know, I live here!); Acapulco is a guarantee and really a bargain (more so than Cancun).
Isn't the Copacabana in need of a makeover? How about the Grand (formerly the Hyatt?) they have a mixed crowd on the weekends.

The Grand is embarking on a total makeover, millions are being spent.
If all goes as planned, they will be the big winner. The rooms are large, the beach is nice and it's right across from Wal Mart.

I totally agree the Grand Hotel can be terrific and according to that article that is also posted on another link they completed 7 floors of renovations at the End of November. These things take time but the hotel has always been nice just always in need of an upgrade. Hopefully that will no longer be the case soon.
