Compiled list of Restaurant Bar faves like "Trappers List"

First trip here later this month. We love using the forum on TA for info. Have gone to Cabo last six years; new adventure now. In the Cabo san Lucas forum, there is "Trapper's List". Review of many eateries including description, price range, definite go to place etc. Has anyone on this forum compiled a list like that for here? We will be staying at Las Palmas. Please give suggestions for dining.

I am going to take the cooking school class. We have two fishing trips planned.

Other suggestions for things to do? What about turtle sanctuary or other day trips? Love any suggestions. Can't wait to try this new vacation spot.

We ate out everyday our 2nd week and absolutely had no issues. Some good ones that we tried were:

Terra Cotta – Super clean with air conditioning. Various menu items and all were good. Outside was a coffee/ice cream shop which was also very good.

•La Crema – Yes the very unique pizza place that everyone talks about. Good fire oven baked pizza with a Bob Marley type feel for an atmosphere. Everyone has to check it out once. Only opens at 7pm every night and sometimes a line up but if you go later on, 9ish no line up.

•Kabana’s or Senor Puck’s to watch a game….we even watched a Jet’s game there.

•Finca De Vaqueros for a true Mexican outdoor bbq experience….lots of MEAT.

•Grillo Marineo for seafood…..here no one really speaks any English so you just kind of figure it out or take your Spanish dictionary.

Mamma Mia’s for pasta and pizza.

•West Park Café – Really good coffee and fresh baked croissants, cinnamon buns etc. One lunch we had the homemade hamburger (tasted like a well seasoned meatball) which was delicious with a huge side salad….enough for 2 to share. An Italian guy owns the bakery. He only opens at 9am for breakfast and lunch(I think until 4pm)

You can’t really go wrong with any of them and all we found really safe to eat at. Or try whatever you think sounds good as I am sure you can’t go wrong as there are so many great places.

Hemmingway's needs to be on your list. Alberto and Jane from Chilis and Chocolate cooking class own it and Alberto will definitely take good care of you. It's on our list to do first on the next visit. We "enjoyed" watching the Packers hammer the Vikings at Kabana's. If it had to happen Kabana's made it almost pleasant, LOL.

Forgot a coffee tour, for sure head up to Pluma Hildago if you drink coffee at all. Actually two in our group don't drink it at all and had a good time. The orchid lady's a nice addition to great coffee. There is a day of the week when they have a market, we are considering going back on that day next trip.

If you really want a taste of oaxaquanos cuisine, you have to go to Santa Clara for the Pollo Barro and Chilie nogala..... just awesome. Call ahead a minimum of 5 hours for the chicken dish..... also very yummy thick black bean dip.....
