Time Shares/Swimming

Are there timeshare sales people swarming the city? Puerto Vallarta, where I just went, is disgusting for this.

Secondly - are any of the public beaches swimmable - at PV the surf is so high/hard undertow, you cannot swim there at all.

Thank you for any honest assessments.

We have been 3 times and so far have not been asked for one timehare presentation. There must be some but I have not run into any yet! The beaches are swimmable if you go to the right places. Playa de la Audencia is a nice cove that is fairly calm and there are lots of water sports available as well. Also in Santiago Bay down by Club Santiago, there are calm waters as well. There are areas where people surf but we did not swim there as it was too rough. They have flags out to provide a warning if it is too rough.

The water is warm, even was nice during the holidays, and we swam many times.

You'll see some time share salesmen if you go to the Plaza Manzanillo, where the Comercial Mexicana is. Other then that they don't have to many people out to get ya!
