Taxis

There are 6 of us traveling together and staying at The Karmina Palace. I was wondering if there are taxis that are vans that would hold that many people or would we have to take two .Thanks

Hi there - yes, there are vans and suburbans waiting at the airport, which should seat all of you.

That said, if you booked through Transat, they provide free transportation to the hotel from the airport; it's generally a nice tour bus, with a/c and everything.

Thanks ChellyBelle. I was wondering more about outside the hotel. If we wanted to go to another beach , shopping etc. could we all go in one cab?

You'd probably need to take two; most taxis will seat four passengers, max, and that's if the three in the backseat are fairly small. To get a larger cab, you can ask the concierge to call for a larger vehicle; there are some vans available, but a limited number, so you may have to wait. Also, you may pay a small amount more, but probably not double, so you'll save a little bit doing it that way.

Even if you DO wind up taking two taxis, they're fairly reasonably priced, and you can always take a cab out shopping, or to the beach, and hop buses between destinations.
