The seafood platter at Victor's on Stone Island! Yum! And while swinging in a hammock on the beach no less!

Wow, I miss Mazatlan. We'll be there in December for a week. Not soon enough!

Good stuff, but last visit I had some coconut shrimp at La Palapa del Mar, and it was great (better), believe it or not.

Our big "Blues", five of 'em at El Capitano were awesome, at $150 pesos, but plenty of a meal for the two of us to split it! It's seasonal shrimp fresh, we had it in early April, worth doing again there.

I have to agree with MazFoodie, but to pick just one offering, no way. I've never had anything bad (or even so-so) there.

Hmm coming from a place where the cold water shrimp are sweet and delectable, doesn't need to be camouflaged with coconut or deep fry, I favour those places that serve a traditional dish of beans and rice accenting a chimichanga or a burrito. Gus Gus serves the purpose. Just don't try to pass off any of those wood pulp warm water shrimp for the real thing!
