Most of the local bands do both English rock music AND cumbias. You can request most anything and they will surprise you. Even if they don't speak English, they love rock music and memorize the lyrics. Mazatlan Life dot com has the run down on some entertainment but not all. There are a few bands playing around town, but mostly at weekends, and things will pick up more in November. The taxi drivers always know where the entertainment is because they watch for customers.

Have a great time.

Mambo Cafe was in the La Gran Plaza.

Last report was that it closed in January 2011.
