Riu Emerald Bay

Hello everyone, can someone who is familiar with this hotel please let me know whether the bathrooms are enclosed or open concept? Thank you

Just got back yesterday. The bathrooms are enclosed, even the public ones!

Yep, they are closed. This isn't Sochi after all (inside joke for Canadians that saw the CTV news last night showing bathrooms there with two toilets together, not separated by a wall).

4. Re: Riu Emerald Bay

can anyone tell me if there are any rooms at the riu emerald that do not have an ocean view. I have heard that all have an ocean view and the extra price for ocean view rooms is a scam. Also what room numbers should I look for f the best views ie center of hotel

All of the rooms at the RIU are ocean view. When you pay extra, you get a higher level floor. So some of the lower floors can have your view obstructed by palm trees etc.

Thank you so much for your reply. At what floor would I get a unobstructed view

It is not a scam, re:ocean view. In time the lower floors may be blocked by the palm trees. ALL rooms face direct to water, No rooms across hall from you, which is a bonus...

If you send me a PM, one bed or two? Booked reg.room? Or a suite? I can give you a couple room numbers. IMHO 4'5'6 floors would still have good view. Lobby is on 2nd and view is still fantastic.

Joy.
