Transportation to Sayulita

Hi there,

We (2 of us) are flying into PV and heading up to Sayulita for a few days, before coming back to PV and spending a week in town. We're looking for options to get up there. We can rent a car for that time period for about $125-150 (but I don't think we'll do much traveling around, as we'll probably hang on the beach) or take a taxi. Does anyone know what it would cost to take a taxi? Also, without a car up there for a few days, are we making a mistake by not having that option? Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

If you cross the pedestrian bridge from the airport to the other side of the highway there is a bus that will take you to Sayulita. The cost is approximately 20 pesos each way. The return trip leaves from the baseball field in Sayulita.

Ive heard you can catch the Bus in from of Wal~mart/Sams club that takes you out there also.

Think of it as a relaxing quiet vacation, away from the touristy stuff.

Go, Relax, enjoy.

Plan on $45 - 50 one way.

We caught a bus by Walmart for 20 pesos each one way. The buses going up there are better than the city buses - nicer seats with room to drag along a suitcase or two without a major inconvenience. We only went up to Sayulita for the day, but it looked like most things within town are walkable, or if you want to get out to Punta de Mita or Bucarias it would be an easy cheap bus if you're not excited about driving (we aren't).
