I read an article that stated "commencing Nov 15th, the airport will be shutdown between 11pm and 7am, for approx 7 months". Airlines are well aware of this and have modified their flight schedules.

It was announced quite a while ago. And yes, in the past there have been flights during that time frame, mostly Canadian ones.

There are flights scheduled to come and go from Vancouver to PV at midnight, 2 am, etc. For example Dec 18, air transat.

Gadgummit! When I first saw this I thought "oh darn, I won't be able to leave PV". I hate getting all excited just to be let down. ;-)

Puerto Vallarta Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) has announced there will be no flights from the Midwestern USA from Nov 1,2010 until sometime in summer 2011. Project engineers said that though they regret the inconvenience this creates for some customers, completion of the much needed construction will be greatly expedited..

I've seen and heard 'zip' re: all of this. Curious -- could someone please reference their sources for all this "announcing"?
