Is this true?

Just speaking with a friend of mine who goes to PV several times a year. He said that friends of his in PV told him that between the Green Chairs and the Tropicana they have built a sort of "half in the sand" pool on the beach for the guys from the Blue Chairs to hang out in.

I told him it that sounded bizarre...but he's pretty tight with the gay community in PV...so he could have good info.

Anyone know?

I agree, it sounds like Mantamar. It's between Green Chairs and Vallarta Shores, in front of the Almar Vallarta project.

Thx bz1.

I couldn't find a picture of this "pool on the beach". This I've got to see!. Is this going to knock out the "shrimp on a stick" grills that are usually beside the Trop?

Also, my friend seems to think it is primarlly a gay venue...is this correct?

Here is a link to their Facebook page. Click on photos. There are many stock photos of women and couples but if you look at the "real" guest photos, you will see it is predominantly men.

Geographically though, it is south of the Green Chairs and before you get to Vallarta Shores, as Jen mentioned. So it would be south "enough" of the Trop to enjoy your shrimp on a stick.

The first week it opened, someone torched it. Huge fire. It was discussed at length on the PVScene .com forum.

Ah thx Deb. My friend thought it was north of the Green chairs.

Unfortunately, they blast their music so you can hear it up on Amapas or sitting 1500' south of Mantamar near the outcrop that you cross to get to the next beach. It is all very basey and constant thump thump thump. Really has ruined the last remaining stretch of Los Muertos where you could get away from it all.

Sounds like it might be time to light another fire to it.
