We need new ideas!

Hello,

My family and I have been going to pv for many years now. We are looking for some new restaurants and sightseeing! Any ideas out there? We are traveling the first part of March. Thanks!

It would appear we like the Cheeky Monkey & Pipi's, a lot.

Might want to look into Hacienda el Divisadero: http://haciendaeldivisadero.com/

Went there in Feb. Note-bring bug repellent.

Cancel the beach hotel. The PV bus station is near the airport. Go there. Grab a bus going up the coast, down the coast, or inland towards Guadalajara (take the slow road). Go town hopping. Stop off in a town that looks interesting, and grab a room, find a meal and some nightlife. Repeat. The day before your flight home, grab an express bus back.

I took a peak at your reviews -- looks like you've been staying in Nuevo Vallarta. Have you ever stayed in Puerto Vallarta? If not, have you considered staying there during your next stay?

Have you walked around much of the downtown and south side areas of the city? Much to see and do, places to dine, and etc.

How about trying some of the small & good, more 'local in flavour' Mexican restaurants? Like a 'cenaduria (family dinner place) or diner? I highly recommend Cenaduria Celia (a cenaduria in the south side, Lazaro Cardenas 506) and Dianita (a diner in the south side, Francisco Madero 243). Celia for dinner (great pozoles, enchilada's, and the like), and Dianita for breakfast and/or lunch (especially their comida corrida - which offers several selections to choose from, and is so good!!).

How about going to a local market in one of the Colonias? We shop at the Central (Municipal) Market in the south side (Lazaro Cardenas at Camichin). Meat, produce, fruits, fish/shellfish, cheeses, tortillas, and etc. Fun to see, shop, and mingle with the locals -- and there are small food stands as well, where you can sit and enjoy some of the food offerings.

There is so much to see, do, and experience throughout the city!!

agree with johnny---find a place on the southside---you will have walking access to it all. if you would like to explore the southern beaches---bus it to boca and grab a watertaxi.

if you want to visit el tuito pitillal etc bus it.

Need more info?
