Single Mom Looking for a Good Deal :)

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for resorts (all inclusive) in Puerto Vallarta that do not charge the single parent supplement AND charge the kids a kids rates for stay (instead of 2 adult rates for 1 adult and 1 child).

I'm wanting to take my 5 year old son on a trip and have been to PVR many times and love it, but have not gone with my child yet. I'd also like a resort that's kids friendly and has a kids pool if possible (I know, I'm asking for the moon here - but you never know unless you ask!).

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

If you book with Sunwing, the Canto del Sol has no single parent supplement and the kids stay and eat free:)

That sounds like a good one. Having spent a couple weeks at Canto del Sol recently, if someone gets a package like that --- go for it.

"Reservation source" is always so important. I've been trying to get an AI deal on RCI for years (just for a change of pace) but can't do it, traveling single. All the best deals I find, as a budget-traveler, are for couples.

There are so many better "deals" from Canada to PV than there are from the US so I hope Amber will come back, telling us she's researching and it worked for them.

I remember years ago, taking my 7-year old son sking in Tahoe (just the two of us) and to Disneyland (just the two of us --- leaving his older brother behind for the dad-visit after a divorce) and they are the most special memories of my son.

If Sunwing can to this to Canto del Sol, you will have a great time. The beach isn't so great but the location is excellent and the staff is the best. The staff loves kids. That I can attest to. It's not fancy, but they do have AI (I didn't do AI) and --- for my two weeks there ---- everyone seemed to having a great time. That was in the Fall though.

Good luck, Amber. When you find a place, you two will have a memorable time together.

Also, forgot to add that the Holiday Inn and the Las Palmas has the same single parent, free kids under 12 deal. Trust me, I just exhausted every way to get the best deal for my family and still have everyone happy and even though originally I wasn;t planning on going AI, the deal for a single parent with kids free is too good to pass up (I have 4 kids, so each of us takes two in a room and therefore qualify and hope for the connecting rooms).

Good luck:)

Thank you for your feedbacks! It was greatly appreciated! I've been able to book for what I think is a fantastic deal. They didn't charge me the single parent supplement and gave me the kids rates of $295/week as well. Very happy with it. :) Thanks again!

The Grand Palladium Resort and Spa...but there were a number of resorts that would accomodate this deal actually...both in Puerto Vallarta and Cancun. :)
