Dining recommendations

Have used this topic in the past on TA on trips to other locals and have always gotten a lot of great feedback.

Pls. Advise on your favorite restaurant recommendations on some our favorite vacations foods. We will be sure to try some genuine mexican food also.Staying at Now Amber in Cpl wks.

coconut shrimp ( seems to b real pop. In PV restaurant reviews. Sauce matters)

Oysters / raw bar - maybe some king crab

Steak ( seems like it cab hit or miss)

Sunday brunch : large assortment. ( seems like people recommend Sheraton )

Eggs Benedict

Ice cream sundaes

Choc. Chip cookies

Do any of the beach bars serve coors light ( relax lol , I'm going to try plenty of mexican but like coors light for during day)

Thx in advance

For Coconut Shrimp - Encanto's is very good and the portions are huge. They serve it with Mango Sauce as most restaurants do.

My favorite sauce with Coconut Shrimp is actually Tamarind Sauce, which we had many years ago at either Langostino's or Cuates y Cuetes....can't remember, but it doesn't matter because they don't serve it that way anymore. It's not easy to find anybody serving Tamarind Sauce in PV.

On ice cream & Ice cream sundaes. My choice would be Lix on Basilio Badillo 167. The salted carmel & strawberry are my favorites & some times fixed as a sundae. Nice stop after dinner.

For fresh raw oysters go under the pedestrian bridge on the malecon. Bring a cold beer from the Oxxo with you.

Eggs Benedict at Daiquiri Dicks are the best. They bake their own English muffins and every time I've had them they were perfectly done.

Weekend Brunches aren't very common in PV, a few resorts do them but not many restaurants do. That said, Lindo Mar is another option.

I would suggest El Rio for BBQ but they're closing for the summer soon. Las Adelitas makes great brisket and ribs.

I wouldn't bother looking for King Crab - it's from Alaska - go for the fresh oysters, shrimp on a stick, fish on a stick, all of which you can get on Playa Los Muertos - Blue Shrimp had very tasty coconut shrimp (although it's not really my thing) - pricey but good restaurant -
