Christmas in Mexico City

I am planning on spending about 4-5 days in Mexico city and move on to Cancun around Dec 24 or 25.

Do you recommend that I spend Christmas eve and Christmas day in Mexico city or in Cancun? Are the attractions and restaurants closed in those days in Mexico city?

thank you

I'd say that Cancun has more options for Christmas Eve events (dinner and dancing) than Mexico City. You may want to check with the hotel you are staying in Mexico City if they have something scheduled for those days.

I agree, Cancun is better. I ve spent last Xmas in Mexico City and there is not much to do for single travelers. Many people actually leave the city or stay home with families. Some places close but not all.
