Taxi Fare between Hotel Zone and Downtown

I'd like to know the current taxi fare from the Walmart to the Royal Sands. Thanks!

If you go to Wal Mart you can catch the bus in front of the Royal Sands for 65 cents per person. On the way back taxi on the street in front of Wal Mart is about $12.00 one way. (Taxi from the hotel zone to Wal Mart is easily double that.) And the bus next to Wal Mart is still 65 cents per person back to the Sands.

I would say just take the bus. They come like every two minutes or less. It is really easy to get around on the bus, just tell the bus driver where you are going and he will tell you when your stop is coming.

From the Royal Sands to Walmart should be about 140 pesos, but rates are sometimes a little higher if you get a taxi right at the door of your hotel.

You might be able to negotiate a better rate from Walmart back to the hotel.
