Food Help!

Pretty close to deciding n Excellence Playa Mujeres for our Cancun trip at the end of May. Have some questions. I wish I were able to view the menus for the restaurants at the resort. We love seafood and I was wondering what I can expect to find on a daily basis for dinner? Shrimp, crab, lobster, scallops? Good quality?

Secondly, we are planning to get a Rooftop Terrance Suite with the plunge pool. Have read complaints about it being too cold. Will be there May 22 through 29, will it be a problem for us then?

What kind of nightly entertainment do they usually have (we’ll be there Saturday to Saturday).

Last, is there any great seafood restaurant in cancun worth taking a cab to both for food and ambiance, while we are there?

For beautiful ambiance and great seafood, try Lorenzillo's. It sits right on the edge of the lagoon. If you go, try to get there just prior to sunset, the view is spectacular. If you like lobster or any seafood for that matter, this is the place to go. You can get your lobster prepared about ten different ways. The service also was superb. This is definitely worth a cab ride!! Oh and you can view the menu at their website http://www.lorenzillos.com.mx/eng/index.html

I understand that the chef will accomodate special diets, vegans, etc if you don't see it on the menu. Even the pickiest of eaters should be happy with the food at Excellence. They have two restaurants open for breakfast(one buffet other a la carte) and the Grill (poolsode) plus one or maye two restaurants a la carte. One of eith retsaurants is closed each day for maintenance.
