Happy you had a nice trip. My husband and I were there four years ago and loved it. We're considering a trip back in September.

I have a silly question about the French restaurant...is the seven course tasting menu the only option or can one order a regular a la carte meal?

Thanks!

They had three menus. One ala carte, one vegetarian, and the tasting menu. You can order from any. They request the whole table do the tasting menu if that is your choosing. We ordered ala carte. I like gourmet dining, but do not like certain things like onions and cerviches. My husband would have done the tasting menu but I could tell I would not like three of the courses that night.

The food was delicious. Service outstanding.Be sure and order Mayan coffee with dessert. It is not on the menu. Beautiful presentation and fantastic!

Thanks for the info!

My husband and I are similar to you and your husband, except that I'm the one who would enjoy the tasting menu and my husband might very well run screaming...he's a meat and potatoes type guy! No problem though, I'll be very happy to forego the tasting menu and order from the regular one.

7 more sleeps for us until we go to Le Blanc, so we have a ton of questions. :) We can't wait!

How far from the airport?

Do they have any entertainment and what type?

Any hints or suggestions for anything?

How is the ocean there, warm? clean?

What tours or excursions did you do and how did you like them?

How did you utilize the butler service?

What was your favorite meal or drinks?

That is all I can think of for the moment, thank you so much for the offer.

20 minutes from the airport

entertainment is a little on the light side. Make sure you go to the Fire Show out by the lagoon pool. They have that once a week. They have a pianist some nights in the lobby bar. Salsa dancing on the 3rd floor once a week. Not a ton of entertainment and usually over by 10pm - so if you are looking to party, go outside the resort at night.

Thanks for offering to answer questions!

After reviewing the LB website and TA resort ratings and forums, I've still got a few...

1) Are all the balconies the same size with the exception of the suites on the top floor?

2) Did they have any swim up suites like Secrets or Excellence?

3) Realistically, how long of a walk is it to the action in the Hotel Zone for a couple of "40 somethings" with bad backs?

4) Did you walk to the Hotel Zone and if so, did you feel safe doing so?

Thanks again for any insight. Hoping to go there next Spring for our 15th anniversary.
