Booked at Beach Palace

I just booked for my family, 2 kids 14 & 8 years old at Beach Palace. We have been to Cancun many times. I'm wondering the best way to spend our $1,500 resort credit? I see Isla Mujeras for the only tour we would be interested in. Has anyone used their credit for this? If so, what does it include?

If you use for a room upgrade does it take the entire amount?

Thanks

Room upgrades are $232 credits I believe.

I booked a room only package through Orbitz. We don't care to do any of the time share stuff as we like to stay at different places each time.

I am also wondering about the Isla Mujeras Palace, when we go over there would we be able to use the facilities, perhaps have lunch at a restaurant with our children? From what I recall seeing it may be an adult only resort?

Couple of things here. The only upgrade you can use the resort credits on is to a Concierge room. However, it is for couples only. As you have kids, this would not work out for you.

You also ask about visiting Isla Mujeres. This is an adults only resort, so with your kids, you cannot visit.

If they are still offering the Jungle Tour/Aquatwister with resort credits, it is my favorite tour to do. The kids will love it.

I have a sheet with the list of tours you can use resort credits on if you want to email me for it. My email is in my profile.

The others on this thread are correct. Booking through a member does not obligate anyone to go one a timeshare tour. Most times it's cheaper, sometimes it's not. Always good to check. Be assured, no matter how you booked, you will have a great time at Beach Palace.
