Adults Only Suggestions

We're planning a 5 night trip to Cancun in early March (dates are not flexible). Last time we stayed at the Golden Parnassus and it was not a good fit (too rowdy). The only absolute requirement is adults-only. Otherwise, we'd prefer to a quieter atmosphere, good food, and relatively close to the airport considering our trip is fairly short. It seems like Live Aqua or The Royal (Cancun) might be a good fit. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated!

We have stayed at the Live Aqua twice (it's the only resort we've been to more than once). It was lovely. Not too rowdy. Good food. Great location. Close to the airport. We stayed in a suite which allowed us to reserve a cabana bed every day which is a very nice perk as you avoid the towel game. We are staying at Secrets the Vine this week. I'll let you know how it compares.

We have stayed at Sun Palace several times and it is wonderful!! It is really close to the airport with great food, lovely rooms and amazing service. It is adults only. The resort credits are also a plus! Stay in an ocean view room or even a concierge room for extra perks. The Royal is another great spot as you mentioned. Don't book the basic room though as they are mostly double beds and can be noisy. Still have great views though!

The Catalonia Royal Tulum in XpuHa area of Playa del Carmen... all-inclusive, adults-only, quieter atmosphere; good food at the buffet and ala carte restaurants (no reservations and relaxed dress code for dinner, shorts ok for men), nice pool areas, Jacuzzis, air conditioned gym/spa and one of the best beaches in the area for swimming, snorkeling or walking and no other hotels a mile in either direction... not as close to the airport but a short commute if you take your own transportation from the airport vs shuttle.

Another vote for Live Aqua!!! We got back about a week ago and would return in a heartbeat. The food and service are excellent; and the pools are all different temperatures so there's something for everyone.

We have stayed at The Royal in Cancun too and that is a very nice hotel, as well.

Thank you for the suggestions! Sun Palace sounds like it might meet our criteria too. Let me know how Secrets The Vine was lovetotravel_101. I didn't realize it was adults only. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was just being built when we were in Cancun in 2012.
