Cozumel Palace is located along the ironshore and is actually elevated above the ironshore by a seawall. Therefore the resort has created a sandy beach area along the seawall. There is also a nice smooth and easy rock entry into the water at the ironshore level where you can sit down and put on your mask/snorkel/fins for snorkeling right beside the freshwater showers just south of the kiddie pool area.

There is also a pier with a ladder that you can use to gain entry to the water as well. And there is also another pier for the dive boats to use to pick up the guests that are going diving.

So the resort does not have a long natural beach like you will find in Florida, but the man-made beach areas do have shade and chairs provided and the outdoor bar services that area too. The weather in March will reach the 80's unless a norte blows in. The water is still warm in March too.

The good snorkling right off the shore makes up for no beach entry. They have free beach excursions if you want beach days. We love the beaches in Florida and have been to Coz Palace twice, they are different vacations and we didn't miss the sand in everything there.
