Hurricane Rina: Airline Information

I just checked American and United websites and saw no advisories. If this system goes close to the current projected path, airlines MAY modify/cancel flights into the area.

If that happens, they may also allow a no cost change to your current trip. Available seats on earlier/later flights may be limited so those who make a change sooner (if appropriate) may stand a better chance of being accommodated.

This system may alter the departure plans of some already in the area.

Consult your airline often in the coming days, know your options, have contact info, etc.

I am not suggesting that anyone change their current travel plans. Stayed informed of the status of this system, your airline policies and make your decision accordingly

Have always appreciated your contributions to TA/Cozumel site. Thanks for the info. We just arrived yesterday and were talking at lunch today about this situation. We are tracking this storm to keep up with the latest developments. Will check with CO as the weekend draws closer since we're supposed to fly back to the States on Sunday.

So, just like everyone else, I am tracking this thing like crazy! I know that anything and everything will happen over the next 4 days (I am supposed to arrive on Saturday). It appears, if I am reading the info correctly, now they are talking about this hurricane hitting the area Thursday/Friday...is that kind of what it looks like to others who are tracking the storm?

Thanks everyone. I am planning on planting myself near the pool, or with my feet in the sand on a beach near you this Saturday...so I will be keeping a close eye on this, and praying for everyone's safety that may be involved in this storm!

I am still waiting for Katzgar to come on and say we are reading into the forecast wrong and to not worry about it.

It might go something like this

"the forecast shows a 30 to 60% chance of showers/rain scattered or isolated t-storms depending on the path of the storm. The forecast does not show rain most days."

Robert-thanks for the link. Doesn't sound very promising, but I guess time will tell over the next couple of days.
