Tis true Pedro...this is copied and pasted from FB CZMHS page, I hope you don't mind Teresa... :)

"With all the people that are here for Carnaval maybe we can find some escorts for some of our adopted dogs to thier forever homes. We need escorts to Buffalo, Boston, Logan, JFK, Laguardia, Newark, Provdence, Philly, Washington DC, Baltimore O'Hare, Toronto and Lambert, St Louis. If you are you know some one flying back. Please contact me, Teresa. 869-1515, 044-987-105-5787."

I have escorted, one doggie dog, to it's fur-ever home in MSP and it was easy peasy! Please consider this if you hail from one of the above listed cities.

I was just going to put that up here too. We may be bringing one back with us for the Humane Society this trip.

We've offered to bring one back as well. Maya, the pup we brought back last Carnaval, is doing great in Northern Va.

I am involved in animal rescue here in my city. all four, yes four of my furry ones are rescued, in fact two of them were just supposed to be fosters..yeah they never left..We have usually traveled by charter to coz..this year we are on American..now i do know certain times of year if too hot you can not bring a pup or kitty back..we will be there in June. We are traveling non stop to DFW...I know cargo is absolutley not an option in june..but if needed we will carry...if that is not an option what can i bring?...I wish i could be there to tip the island...bless you all for what you do to help... ....Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.

You can Google the Cozumel Humane Society website and they have a wish list. Bless you for helping. My 3 pets are rescues also.

I brought Copito (poodle/dachshund mix) from Coz HS back to Detroit last month for people who had adopted him from a cruise ship. It was one of the greatest feelings in the world. And I made new friends in the process. The couple who adopted him live only 8 miles from me and went to school with my stepson.

Please help if you can, it is so easy.

hugs to Teresa and all the staff at CZMHS

kaki43, usually once it is >85 degrees F in the States they will not allow the dog to fly as cargo. We have been able to take a dog from the island when it has been >85 but once you land in the States they will not allow them to continue onto the next stop.

As for what to bring, they have a list on their web page, but I would contact by email and ask if they have any special requests. We stopped by during our last visit and just made a donation :)

Jana (Wineott) escorted our sweet, beloved dog SOL and we have never, ever forgotten that or her!!

Sol had been at the HS a long time. Had Jana not volunteered to bring her home to us, who knows how much longer she may have waited. (and us, too!)

Thank you, Jana. And thank you to all who are able to do the same!

From the Coz Humane Society today on Facebook:

"Now only needing escorts for dog to Buffalo and St. Louis. Thanks everyone for your help."

You can also make tax deductible donations thru Paypal (and amount no matter how small will help)

You can buy T-shirts, etc from several shops in town and the money goes directly to the Humane Society - there are some great new styles to choose from

They can still use supplies (pack a lil something extra in your suitcase):
