According to schedules for next week, the number of ships arriving will be a total of eight ships, which is a record low since Hurricane Wilma in 2005. This is the slow season but this is much slower than usual. It is not good news for a place that has chosen to concentrate so many of its resources on this one tourism segment. It will be a very slow week for local merchants.
It is also noted hotel occupancy is currently at about 47%.
