Money Bar-pm Saturday snorkel- sunset question

We finally booked our 3 nites in March after a lot of help from this forum (and Mapchick). Being a little older we plan only on shore snorkeling and maybe a sunset sail. We have Sunday planned for the north shore snorkeling spots. We also settled on Blue Angel for sunsets and location and farther from cruise ships. Read some scary reviews of huge cruise crowds at the Money Bar. Would those thin out later in the day on Saturday? Music, sunset and happy hour there (after a little snorkeling) sound great there but just checking here to confirm. Also we have a rent a car so is Villa Blanca Shallows worth a stop on the way south? Gracias

Since you have the car - do a drive by and see if they are busy. Cruise shippers are usually gone by 5pm. Still time to snorkel, catch a sunset, and eat a great dinner.

With a rent a car, why limit yourself to Money Bar?. Snorkel day time ,shower and go out and dine. So many great restaurants ie:La Cocay,Kinta,Kondessa, not to mention the authentic Mexican restaurants, 3 days is short, don't limit yourselves to typical American fare

The cruise ship crowd should be gone by late afternoon. The Money bar has in the past had a well attended happy hour event on Fri-Sat nights. Live music, dancing and potentially a good size crowd. Just FYI in case that's not what your looking for.

Have fun

Thanks, looks like later Saturday OK. We are not going for the food so we thank you for better restaurant suggestions. Any thoughts on snorkeling at Villa Blanca shallows which is on our way south from Blue Angel or best restaurants in that area? Gracias

Speaking of good restaurants while staying at Blue Angel what do you suggest in nearby cento? Also I take it not much snorkeling in the Villa Blanco Shallows which we saw on Mapchick map?
