Tulum Guide Recommendations

Two weeks and counting until we are in the warm sun and sandy beaches....can't wait!! Last year we had talked about going to Tulum for a day trip, and I had some good recommendations on here for guides (Yukatreks, Canada Transfers, USA Transfers, and Tino). Unfortunately, our group couldn't make up their mind about going, so we didn't go. :-(

This year I'm determined to go and wanted to see if people had any recent experiences with the above recommendations, or new recommendations. Our plan is to get up early, take the ferry to Playa del Carmen and hook up with someone there. We will be a group of 6, and don't want to rent a car in PDC or take a big bus. Thanks for your feedback!

I've done it 2x and took the collectivo both times. Small van but cheap. Its been a few years so I can't even remember which street they park on.someone else on here can confirm.

1st: There is a difference of a tour/transport company that you have mentioned than a Ruins Guide

There are many full time Ruins guides at ALL of the Ruins. Coba, Chichen Itza, Ek Balam

Some tour companies also supply a driver that is knowledgeable with the Ruins but not always the case

Sorry, poor use of terms..... We are looking for transport down to Tulum. Would prefer a smaller van type service as opposed to bus. We'd probably look to get a guide at the ruins. Not sure if anyone has used the companies referenced above or have others to suggest. Thanks!

USA Transfers is reliable. You can set something up with them. Contact them on their website.
