Bad Day for Boats

Several boats had problems yesterday with the arrival of the cold front. The trimaran Faith ran aground on a rocky outcrop 200 meters from the entrance of La Caleta while carrying about 20 tourists. Fortunately, while the boat was a total loss, all the passengers got safely ashore and no fuel contamination was detected.

Also the boat "Oswaldo" , 26 feet long and seven tourists on board, overturned while trying to reach port, so other boats came to rescue visitors, with no injuries reported. and the boat was towed to La Caleta.

While the weather caused many problems, it is good no injuries reported.

Wow, that is too bad. I'm on Isla and we had torrential sideways rain. Temp dropped about 20 degrees in a half hour. Wind blew like crazy till last night....this morning...dead calm.
