My new restaurant list for April 2013

How many of these do you think I can cover in 8 days? I just might amaze (or disgust) you. Keep in mind that most breakfasts will be at the loncherias too. The ones with the * are repeat, must- have places. If you think any of them are horrible let me know. Thanks

Looks like an excellent list; I'm sure nobody would say that any of them are horrible. Bear in mind that El Charco opens fairly late--we wanted to try them when we stayed in La Gloria and thought they were a seasonal closing--turns out we were just there too early.

Yes, I just read some reviews for El Charco, it looks like they don't open until 7?

I do need to know what hours/meals these places are open for:

Sesoloco (sp?)

La Bruja

Bastos

Limon

La Negrita

Monchis

Kash Keken Chuc

Oh jeez, I forgot about *Taqueria Medina and *La Mexicana. I know their hours but those are must-go-back to places too.

I'm going to have to be "packed home like cordwood!"

Poop. We will just miss you. We get there on the 23rd. I guess you'll have to go in January 2014.

Seso Loco is only open for dinner (sometimes for lunch during high season only). I highly recommend the parmesan fish, coconut shrimp or chile relleno here. HUGE portions too. I dream about the parmesan fish.

La Bruja is open for lunch. JoeRocket has been writing trip reports and they had lunch there several times:

Hi Heather, Seso Loco is open from 6:00pm until 1:00am I think they may open for lunch Jan-March, but I'm not sure. If you like Chili Relleno the shrimp/seafood one(actually two) they have is amazing. I couldn't believe that they give you two chilis and they are stuffed to capacity. Also, the Mayan chicken was delicious. I alway have dinner here at least once during a trip down. I know your list is looking a little full but if you happen to find room to check out Dopi's I'd like to know what you think. It's obvious you are a woman of good taste when it comes to choosing a place to eat so i would trust your opinion.
