If you are going to an AI there is a long thread on this, otherwise 15-20%

Gabby , 10% for sure or more, if using a credit card and then another 10% or more in cash to make the server know they have been dealing with a class act, especially if the service has been something you would reccomend on Trip Advisor.

We generally tip between 30-40P for breakfast and between 15 and 20% for a sit-down dinner. If we go to the take-out chicken/pork places, we might leave 20P or so,...for cabs, usually 10P tip.

We live here & we tip 20% or at least 1 dollar per person. We also always tip for take out, someone made sure your whole order was there.

Tip like you do I at home, I usually tip 20% at restaurants, I don't tip a taxi unless he does something special, other than drive me from one point to another, like wait for me if I go in somewhere, help with luggage or packages, give me some great information and is super friendly.

I tip a little less just for a drink at a bar.

Just want to add that even in an AI situation I ALWAYS tip. The servers work just as hard there as they do any other place.

I have read in some places around here that it's ok to tip in dollars?? Is that true?

Like carry around some one dollar - 5 dollar bills to use for tipping?
