Iberostar with seniors

We will be traveling to the Lindo in February with a couple of seniors.

We did read warnings about the Iberostars being huge complexes and that a lot of walking is necessary. Does anyone have sugestions for room locations that are more central or closer to the restaurants.

Thanks for the help.

There is a site that has the resort maps on it. I hope someone who knows what it is writes you back (Schmerl where are you?) but I just wanted to say that it's a good idea to e-mail the resort one or two weeks before your arrival with the name you are traveling under and the date of arrival and the travel group too and explain that because you are traveling with 2 elderly people you'd like to request a room close to the Lobby area (or name the building if you find the map). Also I don't think there are any elevators at the Lindo so you might want to request a ground floor unit (if you think they'd have a problem with stairs)

Here is a link to a map of the entire IB Paraiso resort:

You don't say which of the Iberostars you are interested in. We can't recommend room locations without knowing that.

Here is a mpa of just the IB Del Mar and Beach section:

WHOOPS...sorry, you did say the Lindo.

Buildings 52 and 53 are centrally loocated between the beach and restaurants and have easy access to the pools.

This map may help you more:

Don't forget that they have a little shuttle train that goes back and forth from the beach then back to the Lobby all day until around 10:45 at night. It's just kind of slow. You might have to wait 20 minutes to half an hout for it but it does come. They also have some great guys in little golf type vehicles (the ones that bring the luggage to the rooms) and whenever they would come along they'd stop and ask if we wanted a ride. Just stick your hand up and ask them. They were so nice. There is actually a video that a poster named lalmbev took while on the train driving up from the beach to the Lobby of the Iberostar Paraiso Beach. You feel like you're on the train and get an idea of what it's like. Go to the Parasio beach review page (which in the last 2 days has been put on a seperate page for some reason so you have to go to Google search and search for "Iberostar Parasio beach' and about 4 or 5 down is the new tripadvisor site for this resort. Go to the top of the review page and click on "videos

Go to Iberostar-board.com

You can find any room info you need. Click on the Lindo specifically.

P.S. If you don't mind a small wait you can always call the desk and have a cart come and drive you to the restaurants. If you wait on the outside path one will usually come by without calling but it's best to make call and let them know that you want one.
