Well I've switched gears once again... Antigua looked like it was going to be the place for a while, but the extra travel hassle and not finding a resort we were really wowed by led us to looking elsewhere. So, I'm really excited about Mexico now, it seems like for your money you can get a lot. The three that have been standouts for me thus far are Iberostar Paraiso Maya, Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, and THE ROYAL in Playa del Carmen. The first two will be the choice if my brother wants to bring the kids, I believe the Royal is the one if he does not.
We want all inclusives, there will be about 30 of us with most of us being around the age of 30. The family that will be there likes to have a good time and activities such as golf, various watersports, and nightspots fairly close by will be appreciated. Good food and plenty of beverages are also must haves.
So... are there any resorts I'm overlooking that deserve a look over the ones I'm considering? I can't take a whole lot more research as I've wasted much brainspace on places I will never go now. Thanks in advance for any suggestions of even reassurance that the ones we're considering are great choices.
