Live From The Grand Princess

It's absolutely beautiful, but the rooms are not ready. No amenities.

No transportation on resort or to playa; no watersports;

Six couples checked in Monday - three checked out Tuesday

Food and beverage service is excellent. Staff wonderful, but cannot fix plumbing, air conditioning, etc.

Thai/Seafood;swiss restaurants not open.

Beach good/no palapas-chairs

Sorry- wish I had better news.

I cannot answer specific questions at this time - too many problems

Oh my, I am crushed by the reports of the wedding night! I hope the honeymoon gets better...can you imagine 2 weeks without a palapa? I could do 2 weeks if I stayed hydrated however that plumbing issue is a deal breaker.

Everyone got trip insurance?

KTF! LIG! Now we get to see who has Viking blood ....or just a glass of wine!

Aw crud. Well, perhaps you can complain and they may give you a return trip back at either a very discounted rate or for free - it is worth asking. Sorry to hear that things are not going well for you, hope you can still enjoy some of it anyways. Any future reports are greatly appreciated.

Drinks, food, warm weather, beach, water...

Hmmm...I think I could handle that.

This makes me a little nervous. I'm leaving for the GRP one month from today. Hopefully they will have all of their issues worked out by then, but I don't know . . . I'm thinking I need to start reading the fine print of my insurance policy!

They can get a lot done in one month. The next few weeks will tell alot about how fast they are working to resolve any remaining issues with the opening.

Lazy Gal,

First, THANK YOU so much for taking the time to post. With that many amenities missing, I personally, would be working a deal for free return vouchers.

I wish you had better news for your immediate situation. We aren't going until April, and I'm glad to hear there is a pretty beach, ect....

I hope the rest of your time works well for you.

awhhhhh @#$%& !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm there in 3 weeks, not sure how much they can fix in that amount of time.

THANK YOU SOooooo much for letting us know (I think?)

What a huge disappointment.

I wonder what our options are? I wonder where the 3 couples went? I wonder what's up with the rooms? I wonder what's up with no watersports? I wonder what is up with the kids club? I wonder, I wonder ......

I have 4 kids to keep entertained for a week ....

I bet a lot will be fixed in a month. They can put out chairs, open up the 2 restaurants and get people up to par by then. Certainly some things might still not be in place but overall- a month is a long time.

Nice to know some of you don't need a toilet. For those that do and would lke to take a shower, check with your travel agents.

Yes, the resort will grow, improve and change day to day.

Safes are big enough for laptops with plenty room left over

No menus/no maps YET

Distance to airport 30 minutes/30 miles

Beach bar not open - no beach service-no platinum service -NONE

Nice lobby bar/ports bar for pre dinner drinks

The food really is excellent - Best so far at Asian restaurant

No bicycles - no inner resort golf cart/transport

No phone working to make dinner reservations/don't need them -YET

No excursion desk

Closest dive shop (Sandos 1-2 mile walk)

Noshops open -Yet

Plenty of fresh fruit.

BRING DEET - they have not sprayed for mosquitos

Yes =- Disco - nightly entertainment-kid's club -animation team

(very nice too few people here to use services)

LOOK - plenty of staff - they really aim to please, but these are building issues. I am trying to make the best of this - I'm still here - didn't bail.

Don't appreciate the comments from the regular board trolls. I stay out of your threads - try to do the same.
