golf in Playa del carmen.. where to stay?

Where is the best all inclusive to stay that has golf packages. I really like the royal, however the golf course is in Cancun and they dont provide transportation.. Can anyone suggest any resort or give any insight on the golf courses.

Thank you

The Iberostar Playa Paraiso complex has it's own golf course. If you stay at one of the 5 resorts there you get a discounted rate. If you stay at the Grand (the adults only) you get 2 free golf rounds per person per weeks stay. The other 4 resorts are family resorts. They are the Maya, Lindo, Paraiso Beach and the Del Mar. Here's the link to their forum page.

The Playacar course looked excellent. Think it was around 100 dollars for an afternoon tee time and included lunch, clubs, buggy, practice range time and refreshments during round.

I didn't play but my friends at the Rui Tequila (5 minutes walk away) though it was great.

Husband golfs - I don't... a couple of years ago, we went w/ another couple and stayed at the Playacar Palace.

We booked one room w/ the golf package. It was pretty slick... husbands got up VERY early and golfed and were back at the resort by noon.

They golfed both the Playacar Palace and the Moon Palace courses. Our travel agent booked all of their tee-times before they arrived... transportation/food/beverage was included in the rate...

We're planning exact same vaca in Feb.

Hi ckk,

When you say Secrets Maroma now includes "El Cameleon"...do you mean the greens fees are included with the price of your room?? Wow. I would be shocked if that were the case. I would appreciate any info you have on this.

Thanks,

Kim
