Reposting the "ONE thing to purchase from in PDC"

“ What is the *ONE* thing to purchase from PDC... ”

Feb 03, 2008, 10:53 PM

What is the *ONE* thing that you purchased from PDC that you love after your trip home?

For the locals, what are the specialties produced in PDC that you recommend?

I don't mind the trash and trinkets that you find, but memorable things that you bring back from a trip. E.g., when I was in Florence, it was these antique prints from the 1800s.

Thanks for sharing!

This was a great thread that was closed by TA for inactivity. If anyone has new ideas I would love to hear about it.

Here is the link to the original 9 page thread:

I posted that one and a local speciality thread on the right under Top Questions: Must Do Activities? Favorites in Playa? the other day and they disappeared. Linked them again hopefully they will stay. Lots of good ideas. :) CW

Hand-painted talavera sink. I use it everyday, it's absolutely beautiful, it reminds me of the place where I bought it (Playa), and no one else I know has one. So, I bought another...

Cheap Kahlua! I buy it every visit. It varies from 50-75% cheaper than I can get it at home. Great vanilla from Ah Cacao. I also like to pick up some unique jewellry on each visit - either turquoise, silver, inexpensive wood/string or shell necklaces. Whenever I wear this jewellry I think of PDC.

Bellasogno...How did you get that sink home! Inquiring minds want to know. I've always wanted one, but my husband drags me away with "how are you going to pack that!" I'm usually a great problem solver, but slack off a lot on vacation.

Think of the jokes...she literally did pack the kitchen sink on the last trip, LMAO!

Anyone got a better pitch I can use on my hubbie? I would absolutely LOVE to have one at home.

I have a friend that did bring a sink home to Canada and basically put the sink in his back pack...flew with air canada and didn't have any problems.
