Xplor, worth the $99

For those of you that have visited this place I have a few questions.

Is there a pattern to follow so that you hit all the attractions one after the other or do you have to search them out to find them? What do you recommend doing first?

How much time should be allocated to do this attraction?

How bad are the mosquitos there?

Did it seem more crowed on certain days becasue of cruise ship visitors?

Thanks

Type xplor in the search button up on the left. There are alot of reviews of the park that I think will be helpful to you.

YES YES YES! Its worth every minute and every dime. Its not a large place, with the exception of the zip lines but they come back in the end to a central location. Its easy to find everything, although there isn't really a pattern.

We went i April and during the week. It was crowded at all. It did take us all day, but we had a leisurely lunch and took a little nap in the hammocks after lunch.

I do not think its worth it, If it was 49.00 it might be ok.

Don't get me wrong, we had fun, it just wasn't worth 99.00 to me

Xcaret however was way worth the 99.00

You just head to the "Heart" in the center and start your new adventure.

I don't know how you would pick Xcaret over Xplor or visa versa. They are totally different, and both very enjoyable depending on what you like. Xplor is more athletically demanding.

We thought it was well worth it, and I didn't do the ziplines. This was the only excursion we took this year and I think that makes a difference. If you do Xcaret and Xplor both in one trip and possibly something else you packed to much into your vacation. This could lead to thinking you should have saved the $ and spent the day on the beach, had a siesta and done some people watching on 5th ave that night. Just a thought.

My daughters boyfriend thought it was too much, but then $100 was pretty much his entire budget. He did have to admit it was the same price or less than any of the other comparable options.

A local zipline place charges $92 USD for six ziplines. Xplor has about double that, waterfalls, a water luge, cenote raft and swim, a jeep event and lunch.....all for $99 USD.

If you think that Xplor is not worth it, then the local place is not a bargain, nor are any of the other zipline facilities in the Yucatan region that I know of.

Xplore has six ziplines? The site says they only have TWO.

By local I meant in Colorado. Xplor has about a dozen (check their website).

Selvatica had about 11 when I went 2-3 years ago.
